Syria conflict (post-transition)
Since the December 2024 fall of the Assad government, violence has continued at lower intensity: mass killings on the coast (March 2025) and in Suwayda (July 2025), a January 2026 government offensive against the SDF ending in an integration deal, sporadic Suwayda clashes, and repeated Israeli strikes and incursions in the south.
