Ceasefire Medium intensity Intrastate Middle East 7 Oct 2023 to present

A US-backed ceasefire took effect on 10 October 2025, ending large-scale fighting, but Israeli strikes and shootings continue and over 1,400 Palestinians have been reported killed since. Israeli forces hold most of the territory behind a shifting 'yellow line'. Hamas has not disarmed, and reconstruction under the Board of Peace has not started.
