Eastern DR Congo conflict (M23/AFC, ADF)
The AFC/M23 rebel alliance, which Rwanda is accused of backing, holds Goma and Bukavu after its 2025 offensive and still fights Congolese troops and allied Wazalendo militias in the Kivus. The Washington Accords (DRC-Rwanda) and the Doha Framework (DRC-M23) remain only partly implemented. ADF attacks continue in Ituri and North Kivu.
