Colombia armed conflict
Colombia's state forces face the ELN, FARC dissident factions and the Clan del Golfo, which also fight each other, notably in Catatumbo since January 2025. The ICRC called 2025 the worst humanitarian year in a decade. President de la Espriella took office in August 2026, ended all talks and ordered a military crackdown.
