Afghanistan–Pakistan conflict

Active High intensity Interstate Asia 11 Oct 2025 to present

Border clashes in October 2025 became open war in late February 2026. Pakistan says it is striking TTP and other militant camps; Afghanistan's Taliban authorities deny sheltering them. Ceasefires and China-hosted talks have not held, and air strikes and border fighting resumed in September 2026. Classified as an armed conflict rather than a single operation: two-sided, multi-phase hostilities.
